Replace checkboxes by data validation and make it impossible to insert a row

I needed to create an Excel file where two columns contain checkboxes.
As explained in the corresponding answer, I've used data validation for that. (While I had no idea what data validation in fact is about 😀).

Now I seem not to be able to insert a row in between, at least that's what I think.
In a normal Excel sheet (without data validation), the context menu and the "Insert..." context menu look as follows:

In my Excel sheet with data validation, the context menu and the "Insert"-related menu look as follows:

I don't want that: I would like to have the "normal" "Insert..." context menu back.

Is that possible or is this a consequence/drawback of working with data validation?
Oh, before I forget: I'm working with Excel-365.
